Youbloom shares full conference details
youbloom@Dublin, is a conference-lead music industry festival, returning for its second year, which is happening in Dublin from June 13th – 15th in Royal College of Surgeons, and will also include showcase gigs from 100 Irish and international acts in Dame District over the weekend. The details of the conference part which will feature names like Creation Records’ boss Alan McGee, author Neil McCormick, A&R man/former Ensign Records label head Nigel Grainge, co-founder of Factory Records Lindsay Reade, musician Adrian Crowley and producer Rupert Hine.
There’ll also be speed sessions, masterclasses, panels and learning rooms. Full schedule of conference activities below. For bands, see the list over on the site which is drawn from 11 different countries.
Tickets are €20 for the conferences while the live gigs are free.
Bands include Fox E. And The GoodHands, Death In The Sickroom, Kammerpop, New Secret Weapon and Wyvern Lingo. Host bands listed here are not playing but are hosting a night featuring the others.
I met up with a representative from the festival last week to discuss their vision for the festival. It’s billed as primarily a music conference for aspiring musicians first and foremost. Future plans include taking the festival to places like LA and beyond.
