The Irish folk conference takes place next week in Dundalk.

It’s year two for the Your Roots Are Showing folk conference, which will take place in the The Gateway Hotel in Dundalk from Wednesday January 17th to Sunday 21st January.

The programme features over 100 live acts from Ireland, US, Canada, Europe and beyond, and a conference.

Performers include Muireann Bradley, Laura Elizabeth Hughes, Strange Boy, Pa Sheehy, Gráinne Hunt, Good Lovelies, Jessica Willis Fisher, Jiggy, Kenny Sharp, Larysa Musick, Patrick Stefan, Orwells ’84, Rónán Ó Snodaigh and Myles O’Reilly, Clara Rose, Moonfruits, Caoimhín, Bernadette Morris and many more.

Day passes from €35 with student passes from €35 and weekend passes from €110. Tickets.

Muireann Bradley is a new name on the scene, a 16-year-old Donegal guitarist and singer playing country blues and ragtimes blues songs, that has been already spotted for a slot on Jools Holland prestigious NYE Later programme. Here’s that performance.
