Musictown: Long Distance Love live from National Concert Hall (€8, 8pm)
Andy Irvine & Dónal Lunny, Radie Peat of Lankum, The Mary Wallopers, Maija Sofia and 13 year old uileann piper and sean nós singer Sorcha Ní Scolaí will perform “songs of love, loss and longing in COVID times” as part of the MusicTown 2020 programme in association with Dublin City Council and Foggy Notions.

Assembly 2020: Loraine James, Kelman Duran, Zadie Xa, Ben Vince, Lafawndah
ASSEMBLY 2020 premieres five new online spatial sound works over five nights from Loraine James, Kelman Duran, Zadie Xa, Ben Vince and Lafawndah, showcasing material developed during a four-month artist residency at Somerset House Studios. Composed in collaboration with resident spatial sound producers Call & Response, these five original works see the artists explore new innovations within the fields of immersive listening; compositions that, housed within an interactive three-dimensional environment, will invite audiences to listen, visualise and navigate sound in new ways.

A five-date “hybrid music festival” featuring Lethal Dialect, JYellowL, Vernon Jane & more is happening at Drop Dead Twice this month
Laters With Griff is billing itself as a “hybrid music festival” taking place on September 18th, 19th, 24th, 25th and 26th at Drop Dead Twice on Francis Street and put on by Knockanstockan founder and New Secret Weapon frontman David Griffin and as the title suggests modelled on the TV series Later With Jools Holland.

Denise Chaila, God Knows And MuRli are playing a special Narolane live show live from the National Concert Hall on Sunday 27th September as part of the venue’s Imagining Ireland series, which also has live stream shows upcoming from Caoimhín Ó Raghallaigh and Cormac Begley among others.
It starts at 9pm on the night and tickets are from Dice.FM for a very reasonable €7.
Denise also announced her mixtape Go Bravely will drop on October 2nd.
