The Mary Wallopers have announced a Guerrilla Tour of Ireland, four dates running Tuesday September 15th to Friday September 18th, with locations for each show only announced on the day.

Friday September 18th, the final date of the run, is the same day third album Paddywhackery is released, so the tour is a guerrilla-style victory lap building toward the record’s arrival. The band also announced a European tour.
Paddywhackery was recorded over two weeks in Liverpool with producer James Skelly of The Coral, following on from 2023’s acclaimed Irish Rock’n’Roll. The title is a deliberate provocation: “If people are going to call us paddywhackery anyway, we might as well just call the album Paddywhackery,” Andrew and Charles Hendy said of the decision. “It’s more of a ‘fuck you’ than anything else.”
Lead single ‘Crowns of England’ set the tone, a London Calling-era Clash-channelling broadside about Irish emigrant identity in England and the alienating omnipresence of the monarchy, with a video starring Danielle Galligan. The album also follows recent single ‘Landlord’s Demise’, continuing the same pointed streak, and last week’s ‘The Big Mixer’, and ‘The Kit Kat Club’.

The band are already booked for a European and UK arena tour this October and November, closing with a 3Arena Dublin show on Thursday December 10th alongside The Coral. This Guerrilla Tour looks like a more chaotic, stripped-back companion to that, four shows, four secret rooms, no advance notice of where to turn up.
