Far from the bombast of his recent 11-piece band performances, this simple duelling grand piano session featuring Justin Vernon and Sean Carey strips it right back yet doesn’t lose any of the guts. If anything it adds some gentle grandeur to songs like ‘Hinnom, TX’ and ‘Babys’. This is really magnificent and especially suitable for sore weekend heads.

It was recorded in London at AIR Studio’s Lyndurst Hall.
