The Irish experimental art-pop “soft bop” trio are World of Echo’s newest signing, and release their new single as they support labelmates Tara Clerkin Trio on two sold-out UK dates.
Cork band Ana Palindrome, who we first featured in our new Irish songs column in 2024, have signed to the label World of Echo. To mark the news they have released a new single, ‘A Man A Cure’, and a debut album will follow early in 2027.
The band first appeared in 2024 with the Stereolab-esque ‘Sorry A Million’ and the trio are Niamh Dalton (vocals, fiddle – Trá Pháidín, The Bonk, Anna Mieke, Caoilian Sherlock and Mantu ), Ruairi de Búrca (synths, programming, Crying Loser, Trá Pháidín) and Sara Leslie (bass, vocals – Trá Pháidín & pôt-pot).
As you can see all three have played with Trá Pháidín, and that might explain how the band ended up on World Of Echo, alongside Trá Pháidín, with the label recently releasing their second album Cloch ‘s Claí.
The project centres a fictionalised character, Ana Palindrome, a personification of the songwriting and ‘A Man A Cure’ is indicative of the band’s “lunar pop” music, which is an apt description of how the song moves.

The lyrics playfully question whether anyone can really think of themselves as self-made without a dash of delusional thinking, and offer a way into the character of ‘Ana Palindrome’ that the group have created. The accompanying visualiser gives a first look at Ana in her finest attire, with more on her promised down the line.
