“The residency represents the beating heart of SFSH, it’s why we do it. This year is the largest residency we have hosted in Cork and we are excited to welcome new and old friends to Cork for the week to collaborate, agitate, create and fail together – but mainly to stop for a week and spend time making. We are grateful to all the artists for trusting us and diving into this wholeheartedly, it’s going to be an incredible week, we can already feel it!”
Past highlights include performances by Lisa Hannigan, The National, Bon Iver, Ólafur Arnalds, and Feist; immersive collaborations between choreographers and musicians; thought-provoking discussions; and a stunning array of visual art installations. From surprise pop-up concerts to large-scale multi-disciplinary productions, Sounds from a Safe Harbour continuously celebrates boundary-pushing art and brings global talent to Cork shores, establishing itself as a cherished event for audiences and artists alike.
