The Dundalk rock band Just Mustard have announced their new album WE WERE JUST HERE, which will be released on October 17th 2025.
The band – the foursome of Katie Ball, David Noonan, Mete Kalyoncuoğlu, Rob Clarke, and Shane Maguire – have also released the title track from the record to be released on Partisan, which was produced by the band mixed by David Wrench and recorded at Black Mountain in Dundalk.
WE WERE JUST HERE is the follow up to 2018’s Wednesday and their 2022 Partisan Records released Heart Under. Lead single ‘Polyanna’ was the band’s first song in three years.
The new song leans into a more hypnotic rhythm, almost industrial electronic, with the new album said to be contrasted the themes of grief and longing of Heart Under, instead with a wider range of emotion – “inspired by club spaces and physical joy… with characters searching for ecstasy, holding onto love, and grasping for the rush of feeling alive.”
The video was directed by Greg Purcell.
