He’s back – of course he is.
One of music’s all-time greats is coming back to Dublin.
Nile Rodgers essentially has a semi-residency in Ireland at this point. The Iveagh Gardens show in July 2026 will be at minimum his tenth Irish appearance in a decade.
Few figures in popular music can claim anything close to Nile Rodgers’ catalogue. As co-founder of CHIC, he helped define a disco era with ‘Le Freak’ (the biggest-selling single in Atlantic Records history) and ‘Good Times’, a track so foundational it helped birth hip-hop. Beyond CHIC, his fingerprints are on some of the biggest albums ever made – David Bowie’s ‘Let’s Dance’, Madonna’s ‘Like a Virgin, Duran Duran’s ‘The Reflex’, records that collectively account for over 500 million albums sold worldwide.
Nile Rodgers & CHIC play the Iveagh Gardens on July 2nd 2026, with tickets going on sale this Thursday, March 5th at 10am via Ticketmaster.ie, priced at €63.50 plus fees.
Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee, Songwriters Hall of Fame Chairman (and inductee), Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award recipient – Nile has all the accolades. And he hasn’t coasted on his already significant legacy either. Recent years have seen collaborations with Daft Punk (“Get Lucky”), Beyoncé (“Cuff It”), Purple Disco Machine, Kygo, Alfie Templeman, K-pop act LE SSERAFIM, and Damiano David and Tyla – proof that his instinct for the right groove hasn’t dimmed one bit.
A summer evening in the Iveagh Gardens with that back catalogue? Hard to argue with, no matter how many times Mr Rodgers is back in Ireland.
Nile Rodgers & CHIC — Iveagh Gardens, Dublin, July 2nd 2026. Tickets €63.50, on sale Thursday March 5th at 10am via Ticketmaster.ie.
