ASIWYFA and Caspian play Opium Dublin this October.
Two of the most enduring names in post-rock and instrumental heavy music are sharing a stage at Opium, Dublin on Friday October 30th 2026, with special guests Otay:Onii.
And So I Watch You From Afar need little introduction to anyone who’s been paying attention to Irish guitar music for the last two decades. Born from the north Antrim coast, they’ve spent the years since 2006 touring relentlessly across Europe, the US, Russia, Asia, Central America and Australia, building one of the most devoted cult followings in the game entirely on their own terms. Their live shows are the stuff of genuine legend – raw, charging, euphoric and overwhelming in equal measure – and their recorded output remains some of the most uncompromising music to have come out of Ireland. They released the album MegaFauna in 2024.
Massachusetts post-rockers Caspian have been on a parallel journey since forming in 2004. Their 2009 album Tertia established their reputation internationally, and Waking Season – produced by Matt Bayles – saw Spin name it the best post-rock album of its year. After the loss of founding bassist Chris Friedrich in 2013 and several hiatuses, they returned with Dust and Disquiet in 2015 and the Will Yip-produced On Circles in 2020. A band that has earned every inch of their standing.
Halloween weekend, Opium. This one will be loud.
