The Weeknd brings his After Hours Till Dawn Tour to Croke Park, Dublin for two nights this August, with Playboi Carti in support. Two of the biggest names in contemporary pop and rap sharing a stage for two consecutive nights at one of the largest outdoor venues in the country.
The Weeknd – Abel Tesfaye – has spent the last several years building one of the most sustained commercial runs in pop music, from After Hours (2020) and its ubiquitous ‘Blinding Lights’ through to Dawn FM (2022) and last year’s Hurry Up Tomorrow, the concluding chapter of the trilogy. His live shows are among the most ambitious in scale currently touring – a full theatrical production with elaborate staging and production design.
Playboi Carti released his blockbuster third album Music earlier this year. His collaboration with The Weeknd – ‘Timeless’, produced by Pharrell Williams – hit number one in multiple countries. The two have toured together extensively.
