The poet and musician plays Cork’s Savoy and Dublin’s Sugar Club next March, part of a wider UK/EU run supporting new album Leap Life and first-ever nonfiction book Songs My Mother Taught Me.
Saul Williams has announced a 2027 headline tour including Irish dates in Cork and Dublin, part of a UK and European run following sold-out communal listening events in New York, Los Angeles, Chicago and London. Tickets for the newly announced dates go on sale Friday September 11th at 10am local time.
He plays Cork’s Savoy on Thursday March 11th and Dublin’s Sugar Club on Friday March 12th, before heading to the UK and mainland Europe.
The tour supports Leap Life, released last month via Big Dada, Williams’ first new solo album in seven years and a return to the label where he put out his earliest solo work, 1998’s Twice The First Time and Elohim (1972). It features contributions from Gonjasufi, Moor Mother, Carlos Niño, Robert Del Naja of Massive Attack, Kamasi Washington, Georgia Anne Muldrow and Surya Botofasina, built around Williams’ idea that the voice itself is the instrument, and steeped in ideas of ceremony and shamanism rather than any commodified, Western sense of spirituality-as-aesthetic.
Alongside the tour announcement, Williams has shared a video for album highlight ‘The Dagger’, co-directed by Ibrahem Hasan and Karolina Wielocha.

Leap Life‘s release coincides with Songs My Mother Taught Me, Williams’ first book of nonfiction, out via Haymarket Books. The book explores the role of the artist in the present moment by examining how his own influences, from Amiri Baraka to local musicians in Brazilian bars to Palestinian hip-hop artists, have responded to imperialist violence, oppression and genocide.
