The Science Gallery’s current exhibition explores failure through some choice artifacts from a pair of explorer boots that caused Ranulph Fiennes to fail in an Everest attempt, Christopher Reeves’ original wheelchair and a full-scale reconstruction of the world’s worst invention – a device to assist childbirth.
The exhibit runs until April 27th but this Friday night from 7pm til 10pm, the gallery will host its first ever late night event FAIL BIG, a #FAILBETTER festival that explores “the flipside of flops, the desirability of disasters, the magic of mistakes, loveable losers, and the coolness of collapse”.
It will feature live performances from Heathers and Daithí; talks, workshops, experiments, comedy improv, short plays and games (don’t expect to win they warn), fail-themed food and drink. Tickets are free but you can book yours now on the site.
