I’ve a soft spot for tunes which can’t easily be categorised and this is one of them. ‘The Soon Future’ is an upbeat electronic workout with squelchy vocodered bits, funky cascading guitar notes, distorted synths, treated vocal lines and some funky beats before making with the epic organ breakdown. It’s a lovely first dispatch.
It’s by Son Green, a Dublin musician and producer based in Malmö, Sweden who is working on an EP at the moment and that’s all he’ll have you know for now, thank you very much.
