Stream the Caribbean/African sound of Aurelio

I spent the morning listening to two of Subpop’s recent releases. Daniel Martin Moore’s family gospel album and this lovely little release from Honduras man Aurelio Martinez. On bleak January days like this, it’s a no-brainer to stick on something that was made far far away, like the Caribbean as this album was. The album contains Garifuna rhythms and like his people, Martinez’ music is of Caribbean and African influences. More info on Laru Beya.
