Kaar really impressed me at Whelan’s Ones To Watch festival in January aided by a monome-style device and a set that reminded me of Jamie xx and Mount Kimbie. I think I tweeted something along the lines of “Holy shit! Toby Kaar’s set in Whelan’s is making me want to get tore up and fight a chair. Amazing.”
