Aoife Nessa Frances starts new band Red Stamp with Núria Graham and Brendan Doherty

Red Stamp is the new collaborative project of Aoife Nessa Frances, Núria Graham and Brendan Doherty.
The Dublin and Catalan trio have a new project kicking off today with debut single ‘Dancing With My Baby’, a tune that has positive Stereolab influences with its bright guitar lines and insistent groove.
The band met in Austin Texas in 2023, and connected over melody and rhythm initially, before a chance meeting in Rotterdam later lead Aoife and Núria to write together, before Brendan joined.
‘Dancing With My Baby’ is out today on Primavera Labels, and the band are playing Primavera Sound in Barcelona on June 6th this summer, followed by two Irish gigs at The Workman’s Cellar on June 10th andPot Duggan’s Ennistymon in Clare on June 12th.
Tickets for the Irish shows are on sale Friday March 28th.
Aoife and Núria, both acclaimed solo artists, bring distinct styles to Red Stamp. Núria’s Cyclamen (Verve, 2023) blends dreamy avant-pop with experimental depth, while Aoife’s Protector (Partisan, 2022) fuses psych-folk, cinematic pop, and poetic storytelling. With Brendan’s innovative drumming – shaped by collaborations with Villagers, Aoife Nessa Frances and Maria Somerville – the trio crafts an expansive, immersive sound.
Built on interplay between driving rhythms, warm synths, and ethereal vocal layers, ‘Dancing With My Baby’ captures the joy of movement and the chemistry of collaboration. Recorded in the Catskills and produced by Sam Evian, the track marks the first glimpse into Red Stamp’s evolving sonic world – where groove and emotion intertwine.
