Arcade Fire – ‘Afterlife’ (Flume remix)
Harley Stretten aka Flume must have been a weird mood when he made this 10-minute remix of the Arcade Fire’s ‘Afterlife’. Butler and Chassange’s vocals are transformed into yelp of despair with some backward-vocal effects set to a relatively sparse synth melody and pared-back beats. Combined with that artwork, it’s an odd clash of styles, that if nothing else, makes for an interesting listen / take on the song.
File under “good to know” perhaps?
