Band of Blogs: Sunless 97, Opossum, Donora & Emma Louise
Sunless 97
Body Weather is the dreamily pleasant song from this London trio which spends four minutes courting us with beautiful synths and vocals before sealing the deal with a Ridiculous Saxophone Solo. I blame M83.
Opossum
The debut single from this New Zealand band sounds like Beck collaborating with Air. Featuring the talents of Bic Runga and a former member of Unknown Mortal Orchestra, Blue Meanies is a funky phosphorescent psychedelic jam.
Donora
This Pennsylvanian band rival The Go! Team in the fun stakes on And Then The Girls, an upbeat happy song set to visuals from a roller disco that really couldn’t fail to cheer anyone up.
Emma Louise
This Queensland singer-songwriter is already well on her way to success in Australia and even has the “song on Grey’s Anatomy” box ticked off. Jungle is the song that has been turning industry heads.
