Now in it’s 22nd year, Bastardo Electrico says it’s Ireland’s longest-running techno night, having started out at Sir Henrys in 2002.
The club night returns to the city this Saturday night at the recently once-again rejuvenated venue The Pavilion.
It marks a return to the venue for the club run by Jamie Behan, which has had a quieter five years lately.
So the returning club is bringing arguably The Don of Irish techno for a headline set, in Sunil Sharpe, who was among the first guests in the club back in 2022.
Here’s a recent clip of Sunil and Behan playing together in 2018.
“Can’t wait to be back. And in its best venue of all from over the years. Major respect to the legend @jamiebehan for keeping this going. Is my longest association with any night, by a mile, and is very reassuring to see BE, with all its history, still in the game and pushing techno in Cork. Suddenly everything makes sense again.”

Jamie Behan will be playing a B2B with Cork techno producer Doileir (Enkripted).
And Irish techno artist Mejmi gets a first run out as resident.
