The label Between Fields is a small electronic label with roots in Ireland, Bulgaria, and the UK with an interest in “in connecting various electronic music styles / exploring different grooves, textures, moods, suited to both home and club settings.”
The label have just released a fine five-track collection of ambient and leftfield electronic music of various stripes.
Various Artists – Field Work is the label’s second release. From the hazed opener of ‘Amber Ann’ by ‘Svetnik’ to the shuffling ambience of J Dennis’ ‘After Light’ to the pleasing delayed vista of ‘Glaciers’ by Pictureshift, this collection gives a great impression of what the label are trying to achieve.
Various Artists – Field Work is available on Bandcamp and 12″ now.
