Broken Social Scene cancel all European dates due to illness

Avatar

Broken Social Scene have cancelled all European tour dates ahead upcoming including their planned show at Vicar Street show on the 17 August 2019 due to health issues.

The band’s de facto leader Kevin Drew said in a statement:

“I love every minute I’m allowed to connect with people and make memories, but I’ve been medically advised to avoid the physical strains touring and focus and getting my health back on point. We have a few remaining shows stateside, but those will be our last for the rest of the summer. We want to get back overseas again, and create the best experience possible but unfortunately I can’t do that at this moment in time. Rest has been forced upon me and I have to honour this process.”

All refunds are available at the point of purchase and the promoters Selective Memory apologise for any inconvenience called.
