Talos, taking a break from their extensive touring schedule, dropped a new single on Friday. ‘See Me’ is a bit of a power pop hit.
While certainly the most overtly pop inspired track the Talos project has released to date, ‘See Me’ retains the reflective edge that has become a bit of a calling card for the group. There may be the sort of bombastic chorus usually reserved for pop hits, but French’s lyrics remain too broody and expressive to comfortably fit the genre.
If anything, ‘See Me’ offers the listener a glimpse into how Talos’ future material evolve and develop.
