Something we wanted to draw your attention to.

The festival, which is reported to be the first of its kind here in the capital, takes place from October 25th-28th in Smock Alley, Yamammori Kaizen and The Soundhouse.

The ethos behind Dark Arts is to provide a platform for domestic and international leftfield electronic artists here in the capital. 15 artists from across the spectrum of electronic sub-genres; Electro, Techno, Experimental, EBM (Electronic Body Music), Industrial and Visual will perform throughout the weekend.

Here’s the lineup

  • De Sang Froid (Alaxis Andreas G)
  • Black Merlin (Island of the Gods)
  • Corner
  • Jay Carroll
  • Le Syndicat Electronique (Alaxias Andreas G)
  • Operant
  • Schacke
  • Viscerale (DJ)

Festival organiser Damien McClury had the following to say about the weekend’s forthcoming event – “This is the first year of the festival and I hope it will give Irish artists, in particular, a chance to perform, those who don’t usually get a platform. Similar festivals have sold out in Amsterdam and Barcelona, but this helps promote Irish artists.”
