DCU ANAM festival enters into its second year running with the announcement of Mango X Mathman, Natalya O’Flaherty, David Keenan and more set to perform.

The festival, which aims to be a “celebration of Arts, Ideas and Creativity in North Dublin”, will take place on the 3rd and 4th of April.

The festival takes place in the college grounds, incorporating both students and staff alongside the artists performing.

Performing concerts are Delorentos, Mango X Mathman, Tebi Rex, Natalya O’Flaherty and Katie Gallagher. There will also be a special folk performance featuring David Keenan, Cormac Begley & Libby McCrohan and Landless. Fighting Words will be represented, as will visual artists and music industry spokespeople in a series of panels.

The festival aims to help set up a North Dublin Cultural Quarter.

Here’s what DCU President Prof. Brian MacCraith had to say about the festival.

“The success of the Anam festival last year was a clear sign that people in the area fully support the bid to develop a vibrant artistic hub in North Dublin. We believe this year’s event will be yet another step in achieving that goal and we look forward to welcoming DCU staff, students, alumni and the wider community to celebrate with us and enjoy an inspiring line-up of talent.”
