Dubliner MOIO’s 2023 song ‘Moments’ has gone to the top of the viral charts in US, Ireland, Canada and more

MOIO is a producer and artist with Chamomile Club alongside Monjola and Aby Couilbaly.

His 2023 song ‘Moments’ has gone viral on Spotify’s charts in USA, Ireland, UK, Canada, Norway, Denmark and New Zealand. It’s currently #1 in all of those charts.

It all started when MOIO posted a Tik Tok of himself singing an acoustic version of the track.

@sirmoio I need a retwist. Shout out to anyone that had me in their spotify wrapped &lt3 dis is moments x #fyp #moio ♬ Moments – MOIO

The song has an guitar-rock feel much like Radiohead’s ‘Let Down’ and is anchored by a hooky falsetto from MOIO. Kid Cudi’s ‘Mr. Rager‘ and Teezo Touchdown are mentioned also as influences.

It’s wild how some songs capture the attention of millions through the TikTok algorithm. It goes to show how a short DIY video of the artist miming to his song can kickstart such insane interest. You couldn’t manufacture it. Radio could learn a thing or two from it.

“This song is about appreciating the present,” MOIO explains. “I wanted to make something that felt timeless but also connected to the everyday moments we all share.”
