El-P returns to Dublin to play Cargo
Tucked away in the listings section of the Pod website is the announcement that El-P will be coming back on September 29th (same weekend as HWCH) to play the newly refurbished (by then) TBMC venue (then to be rechristened Cargo) with support from Deep Burial. €15 a ticket.
The Sunday Business Post reported about the venue changeover yesterday:
Separately, it has emerged that Reynolds, with nightclub and restaurant owner Eoin Foyle, are investing €700,000 in redeveloping the Temple Bar Music Centre in Dublin into a 750-seater venue.
The revamped music venue will be renamed Cargo and will open next month. Reynolds and Foyle purchased a 50 per cent stake in the venue from recording studio boss Paddy Dunning, who has owned the centre for ten years.
I hope those seats aren’t permanent or this will tear the atmosphere out of the place.
