Criss-cross the vibrational realms of Electric Picnic and follow your beating heartto Croí, the brand-new source of positive energy and joy at the core of the festival’s Main Arena. Home to two music stages Croí and Crescent Earth plus an intimate hamlet of venues, reawaken and replenish your inner essence within this creative community, as we gather to express and connect to our true selves through dance, music, poetry, shamanic drumming and a wide variety of vitalising movement-based practices and meditation-focused workshops.
By day, this place will be a harmonious hub of wellness, somatic movement and conscious connection, where stress will melt away. As dusk descends, friends new and old will join together to recharge through the good vibrations, whether that is conversing by the fire pit together, dancing the night away to the country’s top musicians, rappers and DJs, or collaborating on an endless piece of music with The Still Be Here Collective, which calls on Picnickers to contribute to an entirely improvised never-ending music piece.
Croí Stage
From the contemporary to the traditional, the Croí stage will celebrate the manifold of Irish creativity following its profound and unique musical evolution from the 1970s to the present. Expect brass sections, bodhráns, gospel choirs, sean nós singers, rock bands and hip-hop MCs. From the ambient to the electronic and all in between, we will showcase the originality of the Irish music scene in all its glory.
Crescent Earth Stage
From high-energy belly dancing to twerk workshops (twerk-shops?!), uplifting dance classes throughout the day are designed to raise your vibration and make sure you are smiling.
From 6pm to closing, Crescent Earth will shine a light on the nightlife heroes and collectives of the island. Catch legends of the scene perform their unique bass driven sets on this grass roofed beauty of a stage. From the deep house to dancehall, trap to techno, Drum & Bass to Afro beats, The Crescent Earth brings the groove and pulse of the island to Croí. Featuring Shampain, Naive Ted, Lolz, John Daly, Little O, Pablo Santo, Moving Still B2B Junior Spesh, Nkechi, Executive Steve, P Disconaut, Eliza B2B Maeve, Sectionfive, JWY, Tamen, Saturn Returns and many more.
Kinship & Touch
Come and learn how to connect with yourself and others in a warm, welcoming space. Heighten your pleasure and discover new ways to boost your relationships! This new area will host sessions focusing on womb love, embodying and teaching consent in a safe space, learning somatic boundaries in your body and pleasure mindset meditation.
As the sun goes down, sensual music will take over the Kinship & Touch stage from the DJs of Global Beat. Kundalini soundwaves will reopen your pathways to yourself, your friends and the hum of the universe!
Realign
Take a moment during your busy day to realign your body and energy with this experiential programme. Experience the healing power of sound practices, igniting breathwork and grounding cacao. On Saturday and Sunday, start your day with an extraordinary Sunrise Clubbers Special hosted by Yoga with Maura. This revitalizing yoga class aims to restore balance and harmony to your being, to realign with Mother Earth amidst the festival’s vibrant energy. All levels are welcome; all you need is an open mind and heart to join in.
By early evening, this area will transform into a venue for captivating spoken word performances before developing into a place to boogie with your friends!
Intinn
Empower yourself by turning inward and balancing your mind. This carefully crafted programme is designed to support mindful living and offers the opportunity to replenish your stores with nervous system reset workshops, healing hatha and even an ecstatic shamanic journey workshop.
If you’re looking to take part in something a little different, evenings at Intinn will invite festival-goers to take part in an endless piece of music. Each performance of this show is a continuation of the overarching musical composition entitled “We’ll All Still Be Here”, where a large group of musicians – the Still Be Here Collective – occupy the space, playing entirely improvised music for up to seven hours!
Anyone may approach the microphone whenever they feel; read your poetry, tell us about your day, whatever you feel is appropriate. The golden rule is that each performance is in seven movements. And movements cannot be repeated as the different movements serve to force a reshuffling of the music after an enforced duration. Every musician must leave the stage, one at a time, before re-entering one at a time for the next movement. It is a Symphony in Motion in every sense, as it is endlessly being created before the audience’s eyes!
Water and Warmth
Nestled away from the crowds is the sanctuary of Water and Warmth. Relax, reset and rejuvenate yourself in our six wood-fired hot tubs, our large sauna and three cold dunk tanks. Let the heat cleanse your pores, stimulate circulation, and detoxify your body, leaving you feeling refreshed and invigorated. These Danish woodfired saunas and hot tubs are made to restore and rebalance, and are the perfect way to reset for the day ahead.
Hot tubs can fit up to six friends together and saunas up to groups of three. Bookings are coming soon for Water and Warmth and therapeutic treatments so keep your eyes peeled on the Electric Picnic website and social media channels.
