Fair thee well The Indie Hour
The view from the Anna Livia/DCFM studio, home to The Indie Hour for the last four years.
After four years and about 200 shows, Aoife Mc has decided to reclaim her Thursday nights and will no longer be broadcasting at 9pm on Dublin City FM. I’ve said it before here but she has been directly responsible for getting me into bands like Heathers, R.S.A.G, The Holy Roman Army, Robotnik, So Cow and loads of others. The last 68 shows archived are available as MP3s right here. Much respect also to Ian Oliver who came down to the studio most Thursdays and shot pics of the bands interviewed every week.
She will however be producing a new Irish music podcast for Nialler9 every month as well as presenting our regular one as always. Who knows? She might be popping up on a different radio station’s airwaves sometime soon..
Go and give thanks.
