Goodtime’s remix project feat. David Kitt & Diamond Dagger
Releasing an album in November and December these days can be a risky move. That might explain the lack of general acclaim for Goodtime’s third album The Colours Of Darkness, which has only grown in stature in the first few months of 2012 for me since it first appeared and has shown itself to be one of the best Irish releases of last year.
Goodtime’s latest remix project might go some way at redressing the balance – showcasing rich source material in other ways via reworkings from the likes of David Kitt and Diamond Dagger. Each remix is being debuted monthly. Have a listen to Diamond Dagger’s ’80s synth jam version of ‘Diamonds’ and David Kitt’s well-creepy night dirge of ‘One Shot’. Each song is offered for 100 downloads only so be quick.
Tour Dates:
22 Mar – Bourkes Bar, Limerick w/ Somadrone
23 Mar – Roisin Dubh, Galway w/ I Am The Cosmos
24 Mar – The Unitarian Church, Dublin w/ Si Schroeder
Followed by After Show Party in The Parlour Bar, Whelan’s
w/ DJ Set By Ships
