Avatar

LA-based,  London-born Rochelle Jordan is a vocalist and artist who has collaborated with producers like Machinedrum, Jacques Greene and Tokimonsta and knocked out a few R&B-flecked electronic bangers informed by sampledelic 90s pop, vintage UK house and garage, 21st century electronic bangers, airy late night ballads, and progressive hip-hop, in the past few years.

Jordan is in Dublin this Saturday at The Workman’s Club, with Foggy Notions, and she has shared 10 tracks she loves right now with us.

1.

Raye feat. Coi Leray

Flip A Switch

Raye is a cold writer with an outstanding voice. My favourite kind of artist. Love this track!

2.

Dabeull Feat Holybrune

Day & Night

This song is one of the prettiest songs I’ve heard in a long time.

3.

Tentendo

Dancing All Night Long

This track is such a vibe, I play it in all my playlists. Production is A-1.

Rochelle Jordan

Next To You

That ROJO always goes crazy!

5.

Pinkpantheress

Pain

Love this girl, she brings me back to the most unique times of the early 2000s but in the most modern way. Her style is perfection

6.

Kaytramine

Sossaup

This song is an extreme bop! Kaytranada and Amine is an insane combo.

7.

Honey Dijon featuring Ramona Renae

Love Is A State Of Mind

This sound of 90s gospel house is what I grew up on. This song brings me so much joy. Honey really did her thing, not just on this song but her entire album.

8.

Kelela

Happy Ending

I adore this track. Her voice and cadence flawlessly flowing on this beat. Much love for my sound sister, Kelela.

9.

Janelle Monae

Lipstick lover

Lovers rock is another sound I grew up on, so Janelle’s sound on this
album is comforting for me. She is a genius for this one.

10.

Mariah Carey

Emotions

This is my mother. anytime, anyplace, dance remixed or original.. this
track is getting played.”
