Hailing from Colorado, Hannah Taxman has been through the Berklee School of Music in Boston before arriving in Brooklyn.
‘Out of Touch’ is Taxman’s first song as HANAH (with production from Luca Buccellatti. It’s the closest female equivalent I’ve heard to Bon Iver’s vocal processing, except rather than rely on non-human effects, ‘Out of Touch’ harmonises Taxman’s voice to an amplified human effect adding emphasis to her words as synths spring around the track’s space, lead on by guitar harmonics and a gentle beat. The harmonics build to a soulful crescendo that serves a release for the listener and songwriter.
