As growers go, Jai Paul’s ‘Jasmine’ was up there with the best of them in 2012. Cloud Castle Lake’s own version is a murkier take on the digi-funk of the original. It appears on the final release from Quarter Inch Collective – Quompliation #3 which features 14 Irsh bands covering their favourite songs of 2012. The compilation is out on February 1st on download and cassette and will feature covers from Girl Band, No Monster Club, Spilly Walker, Lemonada, Davy Kehoe, Flok, Ginola, G Kathi Burke,, Orquesta, Rhino Magic, Simon Bird, Turning Down Sex & The Wit Criteria.
A launch gig takes place on the first in The Workman’s Club, Dublin on February 1st. €10 with a cassette. You can pre-order the release here.
