Last night, the last ever Hideaway House gig took place in Dean’s Grange, County Dublin. With proprietor Dylan Haskins moving out of the house, there was time for one more gig and the line-up was solid. Heathers, And So I Watch You From Afar, Find a Way, Logikparty and Jogging all played in the shed out the back of the house with the exception of Heathers who closed the night down by the bushes in the back garden with a set that featured a cover of Beyonce’s ‘Halo’.
The Gardaí turned up during a loud ASIWYFA gig (is there any other?) but didn’t put a halt to proceedings. The first Hideaway gig took place on October 15th 2006 the last one – May 25th 2010 with all of these acts having played over that time. Massive respect to Dylan for letting us all into his house over the last three and three-quarter years. Let’s hope the spirit of the place transfers to somewhere else (Exchange is a good start), or a new homemade social space soon.

Truly excellent this. Great to see turn out and good to know that honest gatherings like this can still capture the imagination of music fans. Well done to Dylan and all involved.
This sounds kind of wonderful! i’ve heard of it before, but didn’t realise it was just someone’s house! very cool…
what! a cover of halo! need to see that… did anybody record it? i truly hope so.
anyway great pictures & videos!
This gig was great. Shame I only discovered this house the night of it’s last gig.. Hopefully something similar pops up
