Popped along to the launch of Hard Working Class Heroes yesterday for their whistle-stop tour of indie record shops with a band playing in each venue. Biggles Flys Again, The Ambience Affair and the amazing And So I Watch You From Afar all played in The Secret Book and Record Store, Road Records and Tower Records respectively. Hard Working Class Heroes takes place over the weekend of 16 -18 October at the following Dublin venues – Andrew’s Lane Theatre, The Button Factory, Academy 2, Eamon Dorans, Think Tank and Twisted Pepper. Weekend tickets are €40, with day passes €18.50. Details of additional events, as well as this year’s Invasion, are still to be announced. Bands and photographers can apply until July 30th.
