Ireland Music Week continues its partnership with Keychange this year and will welcome three international artists to perform at the festival – Mise en Scene from Canada, Sunna Margrét from Iceland, and Misia Furtak from Poland. Three international innovators will also take part in the conference. As always, the festival strives to achieve at least a 50% representation of women and underrepresented gender minorities in its line-up.
Ireland Music Week places a strong focus on export-ready artists with an increased success rate year on year. Bookers, labels, publishers, managers, agents, and many more international professionals have confirmed to attend this annual showcase and conference, which is an essential step in any Irish artists’ development.
The festival returns in real life with the international-facing showcase and conference in October 2022. The conference will take place across the four days, with the music showcases taking place over two nights – Thursday 6th and Friday 7th from 8pm. The showcases will take place in the Grand Social, Lost Lane and the Workman’s Club – with Lost Lane being the festival hub and location for the conference during the day.
Angela Dorgan, CEO of First Music Contact, adds “Having successfully kept Ireland Music Week and our showcasing artists in the international calendar over two years of lockdown we are beyond excited to see the line-up of spectacular talent that will fill the rooms of our venues over October 6th and 7th. Year after year Ireland is producing world-beating music talent in incredibly diverse genres and we are honoured to present them to local audiences and international delegates, who will help them develop their professional careers”.
