Everything on gates, transport, parking and prohibited items for the two-night My Kinda Saturday Night Tour stop at Slane Castle on July 18th and 19th
Luke Combs plays two nights at Slane Castle on Saturday July 18th and Sunday July 19th, with support from The Script, Ty Myers, The Castellows and Jamie McIntyre. Here’s everything you need to know before heading down via information from event organisers MCD.
Slane Castle – essential info
Gate times and Stage times
- Gates open: 3pm
- Show starts: 3:30pm
- Last entry: 9:30pm
- All times subject to change, and there’s no queuing allowed before gates open. Turn up too early and you’ll be turned away from restricted areas around the site, so aim to be inside the venue about 45 minutes before the show starts rather than camping out on the approach roads.
- Stage times – are yet to be announced

Transport
- MCD don’t run transport to and from the venue, so it’s on you to sort travel in advance through NTA-licensed providers.
- Build in at least three extra hours of travel time each way, and expect a minimum two-hour wait to get out of the car and coach parks after the show, as part of the traffic management plan. Coaches get priority over private cars on the way out.
- If you’re driving, parking must be prebooked through the Evntz app, with free passes available until 5pm on Monday July 13th.
- There are five official car parks (Green, Blue, Pink, and Red 1 & 2), assigned automatically when you book, and all involve a 20-30 minute walk to the site. Don’t park illegally or in residential areas, illegal parking will be towed and clamped.
- Buses run nationwide from all 32 counties, bookable via the Evntz app or your local operator, with a full list of operators on the Luke Combs artist page on mcd.ie.
- Private coaches and minibuses must book into a dedicated bus park too. No roadside parking, and strict traffic cordons go up at least three hours before the show.
On site
- No camping or collapsible chairs allowed, security will refuse entry if you bring them.
- It’s happening rain or shine, so dress for Irish weather, but leave the umbrella at home as they’re not permitted. Ponchos, layers and sun cream are your best bet.
- Bring your ticket and expect Gardaí operating ticket checks on all approach routes, along with security searches at the gate and possibly again inside.
- Big bags will slow you down or get you turned away, and there’s no storage on site, so travel light.
- No re-admission once you’re in, if you leave, that’s it for the night.
- Full list of banned items (flags over A3 size, flag poles, glass, cans, alcohol, e-scooters, disposable vapes, flares, professional cameras and audio recorders) is on mcd.ie/prohibited-items. No hard plastic, metal or glass reusable bottles either, soft collapsible water skins are fine.
Tickets and age policy
- Ticket types: Front Standing, Standing+, General Standing, Castle Compound (seated) and Accessible.
- Download your ticket to your phone in advance, screenshots won’t scan as barcodes update live.
- Anyone under 16 must be accompanied at all times by a parent or guardian over 25 who stays with them for the whole event. Unaccompanied under-16s will be refused entry with no refund. Under-12s aren’t recommended.
- Accessible ticket holders will be contacted directly about parking, and don’t need to reach out first. Accessibility request forms close five days before the show and are available on mcd.ie.
On the night
- Allow at least 30 minutes to exit the arena after the show, and if you’ve got young kids, let the main crowd clear before you start heading out.
- The Tag-A-Kid wristband scheme is running at entrances, worth snapping a photo of your child’s outfit on the day just in case.
- Customer Care staff will be in pink hi-vis or stationed at marked points on the map in the Evntz app, which also has the in-app “Need help” feature.
Slane Castle sits in a residential village, so MCD are asking punters to be mindful of the local community: no littering, no anti-social behaviour, and no illegal parking. The Evntz app has full venue maps, travel booking and FAQs.
