The former Wild Beasts frontman plays the band’s songbook solo for the first time in almost nine years, landing in Dublin on Tuesday February 2nd 2027
Foggy Notions have announced that Hayden Thorpe will perform the songs of Wild Beasts live at the Sugar Club on Tuesday February 2nd 2027.
It’s the first time Thorpe has revisited the Wild Beasts songbook in almost nine years, and this run of shows will be entirely solo, stripping the songs back to voice and instrument as they were originally written.
“I’m fortunate enough that in my daily life I will quite often encounter a kind soul who’ll tell me how much a certain Wild Beasts song, album or show has meant to them,” said Thorpe. “I’ve come to learn that as time passes, the heart’s connections do not fade, and the potency of the music remains strong. I’ve been missing the songs myself of late, so it felt like a ripe time to reach for the high notes and call on my hand’s muscle memory.”
The timing lines up with the 20th anniversary of Wild Beasts’ first single, ‘Brave Bulging Buoyant Clairvoyants’. Thorpe has also chosen the venues on this run deliberately, picking rooms that played a part in the band’s history.

“It’s a full-circle manoeuvre as the dates perfectly align with the 20th anniversary of Wild Beasts first single release, Brave Bulging Buoyant Clairvoyants,” he said. “The venue choices are also very deliberate. Each room played an important role in the history of the band. Brewery Arts was our cultural HQ growing up in Kendal, Hoxton Hall was the scene of a breakthrough show for Two Dancers and Brudenell Social Club will always be where we came of age as musicians. I’m thrilled to be taking this moment to celebrate the shared history we have with Wild Beasts music.”
Tickets from Foggy Notions are €28 plus fees, on general sale Friday July 10th at 10am.
