Koko Von Napoo – Polly (Chateau Marmont remix)

koko I’m not sure I could find anything more French sounding today if I tried. This remix has that Jules Verne floating above the earth in a hot air balloon feel.

Koko Von Napoo are from Paris, they are three girls and one boy. They have names which make them sound like a more fanciful Parisian version of The Famous Five -Toupie, Renarde, Kokoboy and Kiddo, except there’s only four of them (they must have killed the dog?). Try not to puke as I tell you that NME called them “Champs-Elysees-birthed branch of Topshop-electro-pop-punk”…

This Chateau Marmont remix is taken from their June EP out on July 27th funnily enough. Note to band – preparation was key to you missing that June deadline. Apparently, they played Crawdaddy last month – was anyone there?

Ooh look they played a Topshop gig!

  1. Yep I was among the 10 people there, that’s a shame though they were excellent!!!

Despite the turn out they played as if it was a packed venue so fair play to them!

Personally think “JonBon” is well worth a listen too!!
