One of Ireland’s oldest festivals, is returning this weekend.

The Liberties Festival has been running since 1970, and this year looks set to be one of its biggest yet, with a programme of family-friendly, sporting, community, multi-cultural and arts events, happening across the Liberties area.

A Festival Main Stage in The Digital Hub on Thomas Street stage will feature live music from Robert John Ardiff (3pm), Nealo (4pm), Paper Clap (5pm), Laura Ann Brady (6pm), Galia Arad (7pm) and DJ performances from Mooncup B2B Oir DJ Set (Skin and Blister DJs) (8pm) and a Nialler9 set (9pm) on Saturday.

Spoken word is taking place today at NCAD with Stephen James Smith, Hazel Hogan and Emmet O’Brien from 7pm.

There is a theatre performance with Brewed in Dublin, A Play By Vincent Smith taking place in Harry Clarke Theatre in NCD on Friday.
