Brian Cross aka B+ is a well-respected photographer in the world of hip-hop. Born in Limerick, schooled in NCAD in Dublin, but based out of LA for a long time, he has been responsible for many an iconic image.
You will know his work:
- The cover of DJ Shadow’s Endtroducing
- Brasilintime and Keepintime – documentaries bringing drummers and DJs together
- Photoshoots with Beastie Boys, Old Dirty Bastard, Eazy-E, Jurassic 5, Company Flow, Blackalicious, Madlib, Blackalicious, The Fugees, Biggie, The Roots, Snoop Dogg,
- It’s Not About A Salary – his book which featured West Coast hip-hop before many others.
Unfortunately, Cross’ had all his camera gear stolen recently and friends have setup a fundraiser for him to help him get back to making and creating more iconic work.
