Manic Street Preachers play the 3Olympia Theatre, Dublin on Thursday October 22nd 2026.
The Dublin show is a standalone headline performance – not connected to the band’s upcoming co-headline UK tour with Suede.
The occasion is the touring cycle behind Critical Thinking, their 15th studio album released last year to widespread acclaim. Over 34 years, James Dean Bradfield, Nicky Wire and Sean Moore have built one of the most distinctive and stubbornly uncompromising catalogues in British rock – from the confrontational debut Generation Terrorists in 1992 through The Holy Bible, Everything Must Go, This Is My Truth Tell Me Yours and beyond. Few bands have managed to combine classic rock instincts with genuine literary and political ambition across that length of time without losing either.
The setlist writes itself: ‘Motorcycle Emptiness’, ‘You Love Us’, ‘A Design for Life’, ‘If You Tolerate This Your Children Will Be Next’, alongside newer material from Critical Thinking including ‘Decline and Fall’ and ‘Hiding in Plain Sight’. Their live shows have always been communal experiences in the fullest sense – a room full of people who know every word and mean it.
Four BRIT Awards, two Ivor Novellos, eleven NME Awards including Godlike Genius, and a career that shows no sign of winding down.
