Mum, Gravenhurst, Daedelus, Sarsparilla, Datasette? It’s turning into quite the little highlight isn’t it?
Looks like they could ‘nic’ a few festival goers this summer..(ahem, see what i did there? Erk.)
I’ll go again this year if it isnt pissing rain the entire week beforehand.
mum should be good, enjoyed their set at coachella
Múm is pretty amazing considering the size of Mantua.. Roll on Ballaghadreen!
let’s hope they bother to pick everyone up from the airport this year…

Actually, that was a rumour and was untrue.
Here’s a full statement I received from the organisers regarding last year:
Rest assured last years problems will be rectified and to clarify re:07 seperate carparks for punters and artists were inaccessible due to inclement weather despite having been assessed in days previous by safety staff and emergency personel incl guards, firemen, security. A last minute carpark was set-up in the town with local bus company cleaning up financially despite organisers offers and requests to subsidise or reduce fare. The resulting chaos caused by folk parking on the road, blocking entrances and exits stretched staff and security who dealt as well as possible. Likewise the build up was hampered with each piece of equipment, generator fencing etc delivered on site in limited transport capable of manouvering in the rising mud-adding to time constraints to set up other infrastructure. Toilets were delivered on site and taken away by wanker delivery folk who refused to drive on site and left fully loaded. Mantua project is a non-profit organisation and recieves unlike other festivals no corporate sponsorship with the massive costs and workload covered by a small group of dedicated people.
Anyway, looking forward to next year which will again feature areas curated by the ever excellent rootical and alphabetset crews and new areas curated by some very special guests. Again- all efforts will be made to bring a top quality and diverse line-up, the same informal happy atmosphere with better environmentally friendly facilities- all without paying extortionate prices and having corporate cocksucking advertising slapping you in the face at every turn.
savage la! Flying Lotus been added to the line up – joy 🙂
BTW… just read that statement above fully… all very formal until the last line “cocksucking advertising slapping you in the face at every turn.” hilarious!
T’was really good. Mum, all the reggae tent, Nouveau Noise (the guy on two kaoss3’s a guy on a Roland 606 and a drummer all hammering away like octopuses, they were Nouveau Noise right?) ilya K , Eygyptian Lover were all highlights for me. I was hyped all weekend for Shackleton, thought I was watching him, tribaly bassline bizniz then the music drifted into average acid techno??? Its very very possible I got confused with playing times or there was some changes maybe?? hats off to the organisers, loads of toilets, all the sound systems (bar the punk one perhaps) were top notch. Weather held up well too.
