Memory Tapes - 'Sheila'

Last year’s Slaughtered mix and this year’s Air France remix convinced me that what I want from Dayve Hawk is more dance-leaning tracks. Well, ‘Sheila’ isn’t exactly 4/4 beats but as an 8-minute piece of music with lots of throbbing bass, whistling melodies, Hawk trademark delicate timbre and arpeggiated synth notes, it’s a bit of a trip.

It’s from Player Piano followup Grace/Confusion out in December on Car Park Records.
