Fresh from an appearance in Dingle last night, Fred Again…’s new album features collaborators Obongjayar, SOAK, Jozzy, Emmylou Harris, Four Tet, Skrillex, Jim Legxacy, Sampha, Anderson .PAAK, CHIKA, Duskus,Joy Anonymous, The Japanese House and Scott Hardkiss.

His Father’s Voice – Black Poison Morning

Limerick alt-rock new wave band release their debut album. I loved their pre-release singles so psyched for this one. The band cite Siouxsie & the Banshees, Protomartyr, Drahla and The Altered Hours as sonic inspirations.

MJ Lenderman – Manning Fireworks

Waxahatchee collaborator and North Carolina country-tinged indie folk artist releases a new album on ANTI-. He plays Dublin in November, as part of his EU / UK tour.

Toro y Moi – Hole Erth

Chaz Bear pivots into his chillwave synth electronic sound into an album of anthemic pop punk and autotuned, melancholic rap that features Ben Gibbard, Duckworth, Kevin Abstract, Don Toliver and more.

Fat Dog – WOOF.

Buzzy London psychedelic electronic alt-rock band release their debut on Domino.

Rex Orange County – The Alexander Technique

Fifth album from the English English singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. features James Blake. I always think this lad is American because of his name.

The Dare – What’s Wrong With New York?

Indie Sleaze wannabe and Charli XCX collaborator capitalises on his new notoriety. Yet to be convinced by his sub-par LCD Soundsystem tunes to date, but ‘Girls’ isn’t bad.

Molchat Doma – Belaya Polosa

Belarusian post- punk, new-wave and synth-pop band release their new album.

Hinds – Viva Hinds

The Spanish indie duo’s new album features Grian Chatten of Fontaines D.C. and Beck.

Suuns – The Breaks

Sixth album from the avant-garde Canadian rockers.

Myles O’Reilly – Music from the Threshold

Dublin ambient musician and filmmaker conjurs a liminal space on his a new album written in response to illness of his elderly cat Noah, echoing the long rehabilitation that Myles himself went through a decade earlier, that prompted him to make ambient music in the first place. The music was created for Noah, and his wife Aideen as they spent time together in their house.

Music from The Threshold is a collection that, for me, encapsulates everything I cherish about ambient music—its ability to serve as a balm for our thoughts, a canvas for daydreams, and a workout for our imagination. It becomes most potent when we need a personal and introspective journey into what often feels unclear and unreachable: those deeply stored emotions that are difficult to access on demand but essential to experience, especially when suspended between two worlds, where nothing is defined and where past and future hold no sway.
