Primavera Sound have added New Order to the two festival lineups taking place a week apart and cities apart in this summer June 1st to 3rd in Barcelona and Madrid from June 8th to 10th.
The Manchester legends New Order will play at the Parc del Fòrum on June 1st and at the Ciudad del Rock in Arganda del Rey on June 8th. The announcement comes on the 40th anniversary to the day (7th March, 1983) of the release of ‘Blue Monday’, the band’s electronic pop dance single that still sounds as fresh today as it ever did.

They join fellow day headliners Blur and Halsey.
Depeche Mode, Kendrick Lamar, Blur, Rosalía, Halsey, Skrillex, FKA Twigs, St. Vincent, The Moldy Peaches, Calvin Harris and Le Tigre were previously announced for the Barcelona and Madrid dates, with over 200 names playing each.
Pet Shop Boys will play the festival on Wednesday’s free day, which will return twice in the Parc del Fòrum and the Cívitas Metropolitano.
