Friday is album release day and here’s a rundown of what’s been released on DSPs and physical releases in record shops.
Maverick Sabre – Don’t Forget to Look Up
English-born Wexford singer-songwriter and man with the golden soul voice releases his fourth album. Features Nile Rogers and Sasha Keable.
MØ – Motordrome
Danish pop star’s third album has an electro-banger lead-in.
PinkPantheress – To Hell With It Remixes
A remix album of the BBC Sound of 2022 winner and subject of a podcast here. Reworks by Anz, LSDXOXO, Flume, El Guincho, FKJ, Sango and more.
IMARHAN – Aboogi
Tuareg band releasing their third album on City Slang. Features Gruff Rhys and Sudanese singer Sulafa Elyas.

A collection of Andrew Weatherall remixes of artists like Saint Etienne, Confidence Man, Doves, Gwenno and more.
Amber Mark – Three Dimensions Deep
New York based singer-songwriter and producer’s debut album.
Eels – Extreme Witchcraft
Fourteenth album from Mark Oliver Everett, aka E, who co-produced the record with PJ Harvey producer and guitarist John Parish, marking the first time the two have recorded together since 2001’s Souljacker album.
Tara Nome Doyle – Værmin
Norwegian-Irish singer-songwriter recently featured here releases her second album.
Beirut – Artifacts
A double LP from Zachary Condon of early recordings including tracks from the Lon Gisland and Elephant Gun EPs.
Modern Nature – Island of Noise
The second album from a project by Blackpool-born musician Jack Cooper, previously of indie band Ultimate Painting leans on the jazz ambient.
Pinegrove – 11:11
Fifth studio album by New Jersey indie-rock band recorded in Levon Helm Studios in Woodstock and released on Rough Trade.
Romance – Once Upon A Time
A release that takes Celine Dion samples and reminagines “the Canadian icon’s cultural locked grooves as a set of post-vaporwave crybient zoners that are part OPN’s timeless “Eccojams”, part “Disintegration Loops” Basinski and part Malibu/DJ Lostboi on ice.” Thanks Boomkat.
Vegyn – Don’t Follow Me Because I’m Lost Too!!
A 75-track, 2hr 33min mind-dump of music from the UK R&B electronic producer.
Lady Wray – Piece Of Me
New album from the R&B soul and hip-hop artist on Big Crown.
Anaïs Mitchell – Anaïs Mitchell
American singer-songwriter returns to solo work, after the success of the musical theatre production Hadestown based on her 2010 album.
