New Albums


Mac DeMarco – Five Easy Hot Dogs

An instrumental album from the Mac recorded during a road trip from Los Angeles to Utah. The whole thing is on Youtube.


The Murder Capital – Gig’s Recovery

Second album from Dublin rock band brings in new textures and softness. ‘Return My Head’. (Human Season Records)


Biig Piig – Bubblegum

Seven-track debut mixtape release from the Irish/UK/Spanish artist. ‘In The Dark’ (RCA Records)


Italia 90 – Living Human Treasure

Brighton-bred, south London-based four-piece punk-leaning band. “Instead of striving for something new, we want instead to focus in on sounds from history and find interesting ways to juxtapose old references. There’s a newness to it through that recycling.” ‘Harmony’ (Brace Yourself Records)


Núria Graham – Cyclamen

The Irish-Catalan singer-songwriter makes experimental folk-pop. ‘The Catalyst’ (Primavera Labels / Universal Music Spain)


Låpsley – Cautionary Tales of Youth

Produced in collaboration with Jessy Lanza, Paul White, Greg Abrahams and regular collaborator Joe Brown, Låpsley’s third album is an intimate but universal exploration of those Cautionary Tales that – eventually – may also prove the making of you. ‘Lifeline’


Guided By Voices – La La Land

The latest full-length release from Robert Pollard’s prolific rock band. Bandcamp.


John Cale – Mercy

The Velvet Underground founder and Welsh composer Cale releases his first album in a decade today. Features Laurel Halo, Sylvan Esso, Weyes Blood, Animal Collective, Actress . ‘Story Of Blood’ featuring Weyes Blood. (Double Six / Domino)


Ladytron – Time’s Arrow

Former electroclash band now simply, an unburdened electronic pop band making similar synth pop. ‘Faces’
