Friday is album release day and here’s a rundown of what’s been released on DSPs and physical releases in record shops.
Silverbacks – Archive Material
Second album from the Dublin-based indie alt-slack band brings in new strains of Talking Heads and more into their art-rock sound.
Skripteh – 21
The New Ross Wexford rapper dropped a new mixtape of drill and grime with production by New Machine.
Lyndsey Lawlor – Dearest Philistine
New Dublin spoken word artist whose debut album with production by Gary O’Reilly (Mix & Fairbanks) evokes the difficulty with soundscapes reflecting the subject matter of living in Dublin in modern times.
Boy Harsher – The Runner
A soundtrack album for a short film they made along with the electro duo’s fifth album.
sfiiinx – The Magma Chamber
Debut record from Irish composer-vocalist Síobhra Quinlan leading sfiiinx performed by an an avant-pop ensemble. Recorded between Ireland and Iceland, The Magma Chamber draws on classical, indie and improvised music. Released on Ergodos.
Yard Act – The Overload
Hotly-tipped UK act doing the spoken word post-punk thing with a Britpop style.
Tanya Tagaq – Tongues
Canadian artist who makes music with her voice as her primary instrument.
Palace – Shoals
London band release third album.
Kyla La Grange – While Your Heart’s Still Beating
The indie-pop artist’s first album in seven years.
AURORA – The Gods We Can Touch
Norwegian celestial pop artist’s third album.
Band of Horses – Things Are Great
Are they though? First album since 2016 from Seattle band.
Dj Python – Club Sentimientos Vol. 2
UK producer making deep house and techno with exoticism.

The Japanese heavies are back.
Miles Kane – Change the Show
