I’ve already shared this on Twitter and Facebook but for posterity, Nialler9 won Best Music Site at the Web Awards in the Four Seasons, Dublin last night. It was the second time the site has won the award and the seventh award the site has been bestowed in eight years, just a few days before the actual 8th birthday of the first post on November 11th.
Thanks to the judges whoever you are for deeming the site good enough to win (and I think it was based off the old design too). Shout out to all the nice people who said hello and well done last night, to Liam and Noel Gallagher for turning up (seriously, also – I thought they weren’t talking anymore? ) and special thanks to Damien Mulley, Rick O’Shea and the Web Awards team for making an awards for the web that people can have fun at.
Do check out the nominees and winners.
